Fremont County is the home to Penrose, Florence and Canon City.  Canon City is a bustling tourist community in the summer, with many festivals and events around the Arkansas River, which flows through the city.  It is also home to Royal Gorge and the Royal Gorge Route Railway. Florence is the antique capital of Colorado. Penrose is just 25 minutes south of Ft Carson and boast numerous apple orchards. All three communities are growing in popularity for their affordability, climate and proximity to Colorado Springs.
